To transfer a domain to godaddy:
Go to godaddy -> pulldown menu -> transfer domain (input: domain name)
Godaddy sends email with "Transfer of YOURDOMAIN.COM"
To proceed with the transfer, follow the instructions here:

In the process of authorizing this transfer, you will be prompted to
provide the Transaction ID and Security Code:
Transaction ID: NNNNNNNN
Security Code: NNNNNNNN
Go to Network Solutions and turn Domain Lock Off and get AUTH code via email.
Use Transaction ID: and Security Code: from email at godaddy to confirm transfer.
Use AUTH code here too.
