Webcentive.com is a hobby start page and link directory. This page describes what information the site actually collects.
Browsing. Ordinary page views produce standard web server logs (typically IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, and user agent). Logs are used for operations, abuse prevention, and fixing broken pages. Webcentive does not sell a personal-data product and does not ask you to create an account to browse the directory.
Add URL form. If you submit a site through the Add URL form, the fields you enter (such as URL, category, and any optional notes or contact email you provide) are stored so the operator can review the suggestion by hand. Do not send passwords or payment details through that form.
Quote / forms. Some project pages include a quote or contact form. Information you type there is used only to respond to that request.
Amazon Associates. Webcentive participates in the Amazon Associates program (tag webcentive0d-20). Amazon may set or read cookies when you follow affiliate links to Amazon. See Amazon’s privacy materials for how Amazon handles that data. Webcentive does not collect your Amazon payment information.
What we do not collect. Webcentive does not collect direct payment card information on this site and does not run a public membership database for browsing.
When you leave webcentive.com for a third-party site, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Older short notice: privacy_statement.html. Contact: webcentive@yahoo.com or /contact.
