Electric scooters, kick scooters and gas motor scooters, with safety first. Lithium-ion batteries in e-scooters and e-bikes have caused deadly fires: buy scooters certified to UL 2272, use only the charger that came with it, charge in the open (not overnight or blocking an exit), and stop using a battery that is hot, swollen or smells. Always wear a helmet. Check CPSC recalls before buying. Gas and larger electric scooters may need a license and registration in your state. Brands and stores below are commercial.
