Counterfeit sneakers and boots are among the most-faked goods CBP seizes, and fake stores clone real brands' websites and run social media ads at 50 to 70 percent off. Buy from the brand's own site or an authorized retailer, check the web address carefully, look up the seller with words like 'scam' or 'complaint', and pay by credit card so you can dispute the charge.
