Postage stamps and stamp collecting. Counterfeit Forever stamps are sold all over social media and online marketplaces, often in bulk at 20 to 50 percent off; they're illegal to use, and mail carrying fake postage can be treated as abandoned and destroyed. USPS never sells stamps below face value. Buy postage from the Post Office, USPS.com, or an Approved Postal Provider such as a big-box retailer, and report fakes to the Postal Inspection Service. For collecting, start with the Smithsonian National Postal Museum and the American Philatelic Society. Dealers and marketplaces below are commercial.
