Webcentive (www.webcentive.com) is a long-running hobby start page and link directory, online since May 1998. It is run by Antonio Casanova in the United States of America.
Who it is for. People and AI agents who want a plain, classic directory of useful websites by category (home building, off-grid energy, shopping categories, news hubs, and many others), with quick lookups such as whois, Wayback Machine history, and safety checks on each listing.
How it works. Category pages are mostly static HTML. Anyone can suggest a site through the public Add URL form; suggestions are reviewed by hand before they appear. The site does not require a login to browse.
Revenue model. Webcentive participates in the Amazon Associates program (store ID / tag webcentive0d-20) and may earn from qualifying purchases. Some pages also link to other retailers without an affiliate relationship. There is no paywall and no account billing.
