Canning and Food Preservation
webcentivewebcentive - home
Canning and food preservation, with botulism safety first. Use only tested recipes from the USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning or the National Center for Home Food Preservation. Low-acid foods (vegetables, meat, beans, soups) must go in a pressure canner, not a water bath; adjust for altitude; and never use old family recipes, oven canning or the multicooker 'canning' settings that aren't tested. If a jar is bulging, leaking or spurts when opened, throw it out without tasting it. Canners and supplies below are commercial.
