X Check column

On some webcentive category pages, each listing has an X column, just before whois. We call it the X Check column. It shows whether the listed site has a verified official account on X (formerly Twitter):
X: @CG_TraderGreen X: the site has an official X account. Tap it to open that account (here, @CG_Trader for cgtrader.com).
X: none foundAmber dash: no official X account was found for that site.

Why it helps It is one of the quick lookups on each listing, alongside whois (who owns the domain), history (Wayback Machine), safety (Google Safe Browsing) and sitesearch.

How we verify a handle What the dash does not mean
The amber dash is not a safety judgment. Many good sites, such as government agencies, museums and small makers, simply have no X account, or one we could not confirm. To check a site, use the whois, history and safety links on the same row.

Wrong or missing handle?
Tell us on the Add URL page: pick the category, enter the site and put the correct X handle in the "Why is it useful?" box. We check it the same way before it goes on the page.

Accessibility
Each X Check mark has a text title and label that screen readers read out, such as "@CG_Trader on X" or "No X account found", so the column does not rely on color or the logo alone. Both marks also work in the Light, Dark, Grey and Pink modes.
